Adriatic LNG, the first offshore LNG regasification terminal in the Mediterranean, recently celebrated a significant milestone with the arrival of its 1,000th shipment. The terminal has played a key role in diversifying Europe's gas supplies and meeting its growing demand for natural gas. This success is a testament to the ingenuity of the project team, the quality of the engineering design, and the reliability of the project's completions system - WinPCS.

Adriatic LNG is a joint venture between Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil, and Edison. It began operations in 2009 and has since delivered more than 80 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Italy and other European countries. The terminal has a regasification capacity of 8 billion cubic meters per year and consists of a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), a subsea pipeline system, and an onshore gas pipeline.

To ensure the smooth and efficient commissioning and start-up of the Adriatic LNG terminal, the project team relied on WinPCS, a comprehensive completions and commissioning software system developed by Complan. WinPCS is a web-based tool that provides a complete suite of tools for managing the completions process, including punch listing, progress tracking, and reporting.

WinPCS enabled the project team to manage the thousands of commissioning and start-up activities across all project phases, from construction through to handover.
